Dog Friendly Travel – Cambria, CA Restaurant #1 – Sandy’s Deli and Bakery

When I travel, it’s all about the food.  I spend maybe hours on Yelp and TripAdvisor searching for places to eat, looking at star ratings as well as the the photos.  One thing I don’t take much time doing is reading the reviews.  Everyone’s opinions especially about food tend to be all over the map.  Plus an employee could be having an off day.  It’s hard to judge just by the review.  I think I have watched enough Food Network shows to make a decision if it’s a restaurant I want to visit or not.  Photos speak volumes in this case.

Knowing we were going to Cambria, I thoroughly searched dog friendly restaurants in the area.  The guidebook that was given to us at the hotel (see previous post), helped a lot too.  The great thing is, most of the restaurants are all on Main Street (the main street) in Cambria which is located in downtown.  Below are the restaurants that are dog friendly that we tried out.  I’m going to keep the review to a minimal and allow the pictures to speak for itself.

Stop #1 – Sandy’s Deli and Bakery (604 Main Street, Cambria, CA 93428)

Great food and seating area for dogs.  This place gets busy so I would try to go during off mealtime hours.  They use healthy ingredients in their sandwiches such as alfalfa sprouts.  Parking is limited so you may want to park on the street and walk.
