The adventure conitnues as we check our more dog friendly restaurants on Main Street in Cambria, CA. Spot #3 - Main Street Grill (603 Main Street, Cambria, CA 93428) For lunch, we wanted something hearty and found this place. I love BBQ so I wanted to try this place. There are plenty of seats outside where you can sit amongst other guests with dogs. You order inside where there is an open kitchen, pick up your food and can either eat inside or if you have a dog, eat outside. My husband had the ABC burger (avocado, bacon, cheese - very clever!) and I had the BBQ tri tip steak sandwich with a side of fries. There is a wide range of food both for adults and children. Both were very good. I wouldn't say it was out of this world BUT very satisfying. The price was on the higher end but the portion of food you get is really good! … [Read more...]
Dog Friendly Travel – Cambria, CA Restaurant #2 – Old Stone Station
Our journey of amazing dog friendly eateries in Cambria, CA continues here... Stop #2 - Old Stone Station (713 Main Street, Cambria, CA 93428) This is a pretty upscale restaurant with great quality food. The selection is vast and fresh! Inside is a very nice restaurant but they have a great outdoor enclosed patio area that allows dogs. Because it was cold when we went, the heat lamps outside helped immensely. They even brought out a water bowl for Muffin! This was the first time I had experienced a restaurant doing this. Wow! Can I just say that the spicy tuna stack was amazing and very authentic! Sushi rice stacked with ahi tuna, edamame, ginger, cucumber and nori (seaweed). … [Read more...]

One thing I don't take much time doing is reading the reviews. Everyone's opinions especially about food tend to be all over the map. Plus an employee could be having an off day. It's hard to judge just by the review. I think I have watched enough Food Network shows to make a decision if it's a restaurant I want to visit or not. Photos speak volumes in this case. Knowing we were going to Cambria, I thoroughly searched dog friendly restaurants in the area. The guidebook that was given to us at the hotel (see previous post), helped a lot too. The great thing is, most of the restaurants are all on Main Street (the main street) in Cambria which is located in downtown. … [Read more...]
