Dog Friendly Travel – Cambria, CA – Dessert #1 Linn’s Restaurant

A trip wouldn’t be complete without a few indulgences along the way.  I was told that in Cambria, you can get olillieberry pies.  Ola la what?  Pronounced oh-la-leh berry is a part of the blackberry family.  I had never in my life heard of this fruit!  I just had to have a slice so we found a bakery much like Cocos that was a family diner/bakery.  Unfortunately though this restaurant is showcased on my blog, it is not dog friendly and does not have an outdoor patio.  Sorry!

Dessert Spot #1 – Linn’s Restaurant (2277 Main Street, Cambria, CA 93428)

We went pretty late to pick up my slice of pie but it was crazy busy!  Downtown Cambria, at a certian time of night gets really dark and really quiet but not this place.  I had to stand in line to get my pie but I was determined.  The inside of the restaurant was really nice but those that stood in line with me were there to order dessert.  Because it is a bakery, the options for your sweet tooth craving was endless but of course, their olillieberry pies were the main attraction.  I picked up my slice along with a cinnamon/sugar and blueberry muffin to enjoy back at the hotel.  The pie was very good.  It tasted very similar to a blackberry pie.  Olillieberry jams are very popular in Cambria also in case you’re not a pie person.
