Dog Friendly Travel – Convict Lake, CA – Cabin

The cabin at Convict Lake was great. Our cabin slept 8 people.  It had 1 room that slept 4 (a bunkbed and a King size bed), a living room with a sofa couch (Queen bed) then in the kitchen, another sofa bed (Queen bed).  The cabin was much like a hotel room in that it was fully furnished with bedding and towels.  There were 2 bathrooms both with showers and each one came with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body gel and a bar of soap…all from Bath and Body Works!  I was so happy!  The cabin also came with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, a heater and TV/DVD.  All cabins are pet friendly too.  It was GREAT!

Out on the front porch was a picnic table as well as a BBQ grill.  We went to Costco a few days prior to our trip so we were prepared!  Though the BBQ grill took a bit getting used to, it was fun to be able to grill our meat and make some smores!  There was this really nice grass area in front of our cabin where you can play horseshoe!

Be aware…when we went, there were tons of deer around our cabin.  And when I say a ton, I mean like 10-12.  These guys are big and very used to people.  They come up to you while you are cooking and you have to shoo them away!  Muffin was very intrigued by this large animal.

Though some may say the inside our cabin was small, it was perfect for our family.  Rooms get booked REALLY FAST so if you are planning on visiting the lake anytime soon, I would highly suggest booking as soon as you can!
