There is always so much to do prior to going on vacation.  I tend to spend many hours researching destinations, hotels and eateries that are dog friendly.  I also like to clean the house, do as much laundry as I can and take out all the trash.  Your "to-do" list may be similar but did you know there are things you can do to prepare your dog before your trip?  Some of the items listed below may be things you already know but it's always good to keep a mental note, perhaps use the below as your checklist! If your dog gets at all anxious or motion sick during your travels, I would highly recommend you purchasing a Thundershirt.  You will be SO glad that you did! I had no idea that dogs got motion sick until we adopted Muffin. Perhaps prior to us adopting her, car rides may not have been so pleasant.  Trips to the vet or to another Adoption Day at a local pet store may have attributed to car rides and her anxiety.  For our trip to Cambria (click here to read more), we had no idea about the Thundershirt.  We also didn't realize the consequence of her motion sickness.  The ride o Cambria was about 3 hours and quite honestly, we were all getting used to each other since it had only been 5 months since we adopted her.
